Our Spring State Board Meeting will be held on Saturday, May 4 at the Sheraton Orlando North Hotel located at 600 North Lake Destiny Drive, Maitland, FL 32751-4124. The State Board meeting will run from 1 PM to 4 PM and will also include a tour of the facility as this hotel has been selected as the location for our 2013 State Convention in October. All Divisions are required by our State By-Laws to be in attendance.
This location was chosen for three reasons:
First – This is where the Florida State Convention will be held from October 4 – October 6;
Second – Brothers will be given a tour of the rooms which will be used during the Convention;
Third – It is centrally located so no brother should have to drive more than 3 hours.
Date and Time: Saturday, May 4 (1 to 4 PM)
Meeting Room: Cetus Room located on the Second Floor
Hotel Phone: (800) 325-3535 or (407) 551-7513
To facilitate the meeting and conduct the State Business in an orderly and timely manner, I am asking each Division President, State Board Officer and Chairman to limit their reports to no more than two pages and their oral presentation to no more than 3 minutes. No exception will be allowed other than for our State Webmaster. This is important so that new business, the results of the January Tribunals, The State Convention, and the operations of our new State Website can be thoroughly discussed.
It is extremely important that each Division be present at the State Board meeting. Remember – attendance is required at all State Board meetings. If for any reason your Division cannot be present – please contact me as soon as possible. Also, please have copies of your reports available for our State Secretary so they can be included in his minutes and for our Brothers to read at their leisure. A tentative agenda will be released by the middle of April.
