Freedom does not come without a price. It has to be continuously protected by the personal sacrifice of our men and women in uniform.
As we gather to celebrate our Nation’s independence, let us salute those who have and those who continue to fight and serve for the glory of our nation and the principles upon which our Republic was founded. Through their commitment, we can hope for a better tomorrow for ourselves and for our children.
Franklin D. Roosevelt once said: “Freedom has its life in the hearts, the actions, the spirit of men and so it must be daily earned and refreshed – else like a flower cut from its life-giving roots, it will wither and die.”
