“What’s the Craic?” for January 2014
Presented by Greg Seán Canning
Please join us on Tuesday, January 14th, for 7 P.M. at Molly Malone’s Irish Pub. This is a time dedicated to Irish culture and heritage. This upcoming session will feature Ireland’s Brehon Laws and Irish musical instruments.
During the Craic Session, Florida AOH State President Greg Seán Canning will discuss the development of Brehon Law, one of most developed social justice systems in all of ancient Europe. The presentation will also include a brief overview of its contents. Following this presentation, Greg Seán will provide a brief history of the Irish Harp, Bagpipes, and Bodhrán in Ireland.
It is our hope that you will find this session quite informative. His presentation will be based on the article, “The Development of Brehon Law,” which is posted on the aohflorida.org website under the “Irish and Irish-American History” subsection located under the Cultural Tab in the top Green Menu Bar. Once there, the Article will be listed under “Ancient Irish History“.
